The Dewi Sri Bamboo Statue was ordered because the theme of the 2019 Jatiluwih Festival was Dewi Sri. In addition, Jatiluwih Village is an agricultural area, and Dewi Sri is a goddess of prosperity. Dewi Sri statue, made from bamboo caterpillars, is jumbo-sized, 5 meters high and 6 meters wide, and is placed in the Jatiluwih Subak area, Jatiluwih Village, Penebel District, Tabanan.

 

Jatiluwih Village is very well known as a Bali tourist attraction for rice terraces, as well as a bamboo producer. And through this bamboo statue, the local community of Jatiluwih Village is expected to be able to make bamboo a valuable work of art. In addition, the Statue of Dewi Sri can be used as a tourist attraction for tourists, while visiting the tourist destination in Bali, Jatiluwih.

 

 

 

The Dewi Sri statue has been completed and installed in the center of Jatiluwih Subak, Penebel District. The statue is equipped with rice in his right hand and a water container in his left hand. For natural nuances, rice straw is used as the base for this statue.

 

 

During the festival, which culminates on September 20, 21, and 22, 2019, in the area of the statue, various activities will be held, such as the "tebuk lesung" (pounding rice) performance. And there will also be an explanation or history of Dewi Sri, which can later be learned by visiting tourists.
