Matahari Terbit Beach is located in the village of Sanur Kaja, Sanur, located just north of the Sanur Beach. This beach has a panoramic view that is so beautiful. The beach is located at the coastline of Sanur, not just a sparkling black sand but also has neatly rock organized to a barrier the waves. When its tide, is very difficult to swim at this beach.

Namely Matahari Terbit (rising sun) because of here can see the earliest sun appeared from the sky and therefore they called Sunrise Beach or Matahari Terbit Beach. If you want to watch beautiful sunrise view, better come before 6 am. 

Activities you can do here such as :  relax, swim, jogging, cycling and fishing. Besides it, Hindus in Bali use this beach as a place to hold a ceremony related with the ocean called `Nganyut to Pasih`. This activity can be found in the morning or afternoon. When holidays especially Sunday, is time for Balinese people nearby to come for vacation and very crowded.

Local people who live there mostly as a fishermen, can be seen from the number of boats, are on the beach. There is also a food and beverage shop around. Food that most visitors searching here is spiced fish satay and pepes ikan (grilled fish inside the banana leaf). Cheap and delicious with Balinese cuisine and spicy flavors.

The facilities that supporting tourism in this place are : hotel and restaurant, café, food and drink shops, pavilion, and a large parking area. Around the area there are some public toilets that can be used, only pay IDR 2,000 per one entry.
