The statue made by artist I Gusti Arya Udianata from Tampak Siring, Gianyar Regency, Bali, was prepared for the 2019 Jatiluwih Festival in September 2019.
Dewi Sri Bamboo Statue was ordered because the theme of the 2019 Jatiluwih Festival was Dewi Sri. In addition, Jatiluwih Village is an agricultural area, and Dewi Sri as a goddess of prosperity. Dewi Sri statue made from bamboo caterpillars, jumbo-sized, 5 meters high and 6 meters wide is placed in the Jatiluwih Subak area, Jatiluwih Village, Penebel District, Tabanan.
Jatiluwih Village is very well known as a Bali tourist attraction for rice terraces, as well as a bamboo producer. And through this bamboo statue, the local community of Jatiluwih Village is expected to be able to make bamboo a valuable work of art. In addition, the Statue of Dewi Sri can be used as a tourist attraction for tourists, while visiting the Tourist Destinations in Bali - Jatiluwih.
